RAU-1 (AlfaSpid RAU) Medium-Duty Azimuth Rotator
The RAU-1 is AlfaSpid’s lightest and most compact rotator—a clear step up from typical consumer-grade units in strength, precision, and reliability. It is well suited for light- to medium-duty antennas such as 3–4 element HF beams, short-boom 6-meter Yagis, and VHF/UHF arrays. It mounts easily on round mast tubing (approximately 2 in / 50–52 mm top and bottom) and can be used without a separate thrust bearing in many installations thanks to its robust construction.
Like the rest of the AlfaSpid line, it uses a double-worm-gear drive for high torque, zero backlash, quiet operation, and strong self-braking (no separate brake solenoid to fail). Position sensing is handled by a sealed reed switch for reliable 1° accuracy in all weather. The rotator supports 720° of total rotation
