More than a “sub” box, the MFJ-5900 gives you six linear-taper potentiometers with calibrated scales that cover spans from 300 Ohms to 1 Megohm. Universal terminal posts accept test probes, patch cables, or hookup wire. With six discrete potentiometers at your disposal, you can set up combination course/fine voltage controls, substitute more than one resistor in a test circuit at one time, or even simulate complex resistor networks and non-linear potentiometer control tapers.
